Kinetic Density semi solid state batteries are an advancement in lithium-ion technology. They have higher energy density than the best li-ion cells, and better current draw. Compared to a similar size and weight lipo battery, these can give you over double the flight time with basically the same performance on the right drone.
Just like a li-ion battery, you can take them from 4.2v/cell down to 2.5v/cell, but you can treat them like a lipo while doing so. they aren’t magic, you are trading higher energy density and current draw for some life cycles, but they are really really good.
